Is your mental vision wrong?
Some people still envision (picture in their mind) yield signs as yellow even though the color was changed in 1971.
We may have developed a completely inaccurate mental vision of someone else and are trying to paint them with the wrong color. This inaccurate mental picture may be based on snap judgement, the past, etc. but we often cannot correctly judge others from our past perceptions and our own pride. People understand when we are not painting an accurate picture of them (showing disrespect) and THEY WILL RESENT IT VERY MUCH! And so, if we really care, don’t think they are too stupid to notice.
Do people feel better when we are arriving or when we are leaving the room? What is their mental vision of us?
WHAT COLOR ARE WE PAINTING OTHERS?
We may think it is yellow but it’s really “RED” because the color yellow may exist only in our mind. What color do people mentally see when they see us?
It’s time to “YIELD” and realize we may misjudge people and life in general. Treat others with respect. That’s the way you want to be treated isn’t it?
“Through pride we are ever deceiving ourselves. But deep down below the surface of the average conscience a still, small voice says to us, something is out of tune. ”― C.G. Jung
