I’m sure you have heard the phrase “Time equals Money.”
The easiest way to describe the concept is to think of your job. What is your job if you are not selling your time for money? Do you have to show up “on time?” Do you spend x number of hours each week?
Selling your time is the least desirable way to make money (read Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki).
Since I’m a CPA I understood the concept of Network Marketing almost immediately. People can earn residual (passive) income while they sleep.
Network Marketing is not a free lunch. You will have to exchange time to earn an income. However, the time exchanged can be geometric (multiplication) instead of addition. On a job you will work one hour and get paid for the hour. In Network Marketing you can work an hour and get paid for your downline (those you, and your distributors, bring into the business) when they order consumable products.
Consumable products are important in Network Marketing because of reordering or a lot of people taking a small amount of products.
You may have to invest some time to do and to understand the business but what else can you exchange besides your time?
