Trash Your Annual Review

Are you tired of the annual review process?

Since I’m a CPA I understand numbers. Also, I understand what it takes to start a business and why so many people won’t take the risk. And so, like in politics, people often settle for the lesser jerk or a small increase even if they’ve done a great job for the company.

I remember working for a VP of a large company (major industry) who was a serious jerk and, of course, his Directors fell into the same category.  The review process was a popularity contest and the largest increases were given to employees like the department slut that was sleeping with the most popular Director.  Since the culture of a corporation begins at the top you can imagine the environment of that particular corporation.  Many of the employees didn’t even have a clue how the review process really worked.  Would you like your popularity voted on by key department employees who didn’t even interface with you or your job? Believe me, they always checked the direction of the wind before voting. Since the VP was a serious jerk they didn’t vote against him of course. His determination was how hard you sucked his favorite body part. Yes, I use great plainness of speech.

All corporation have their core values, etc. printed on a piece of paper that no one reads or cares about unless the CEO sets the tone.

A Network Marketing business can be started on a part-time basis with a little investment (mostly a time investment). You can gage how you are doing by your check because it is strictly commission and it will take time. If you want to work hard you can double your annual income. This may or may not be for you?  How satisfied are you with your current situation because you success may depend on your current level of disgust.

Are you on the 40 year plan or the 4 year plan?  Do you want to please your family or your jerk boss?  Take your pick.
