If your Network Marketing company is selling nutritional products (a wellness company) how do you answer critics of good nutrition?
One of our distributors was trying to influence a “friend” doctor and received this comment: “I hate to burst your bubble but I am educated in this field and you can get all the nutrition you need from your food. The PhD’s and Doctors on your company’s board are paid so naturally they are going to promote the products as if they have benefits.” Our distributor told us: “I believe in our products so how do I answer this professional?”
We didn’t tell her this about her friend of course but we will tell you this first: Don’t waste your time with a know-it-all because you are not in the convincing business. In fact, we know her friend and she looks fat and unhealthy. If her friend is so knowledgeable why hasn’t she used her knowledge to improve her health? What’s more valuable than your health? If you visited one of our company events you would see people who look better, feel better, and perform better than the general population. That’s a fact! There are many people who will be interested in and faithfully use your wellness products. We will explain why in a moment. You don’t need to touch all the familiar comments about doctors not being educated in nutrition, and people at the FDA working there because they can’t get a real job in industry, etc. While some facts may be true they are in the convincing category and let me repeat: “You are not in the convincing business.”
Here are the proper answers:
- Our company exist and people buy these products because they work! Do you have that kind of faith in your products? If not, why are you paying good money for your products? If they don’t make you feel better, look better, and perform better why are you taking the products? When you look around at the thousands of people buying and using your products it is because the products work. If the products didn’t work they wouldn’t buy the products. Period!
- Do you have professionals who “use” your products and not because they are paid endorsers? In our company we have many professional athlete at the highest level using our products. They use the products because they are in tune with their bodies (that’s how they perform–make a living–in their high paying profession). Try to learn about these professionals. If they can get a professional edge on the competition by using your products they will use the products because that’s their business. For example, we know about many athletes that use our products but won’t endorse the products. Why? Because they and their agents get paid for endorsing products they may not actually use.
Get to know the professionals on your scientific and medical advisory board. Do you feel they are the kind of people who would sell their soul to make a buck? Are they truly interested in the health of people and using their education to formulate and promote great products?
Let me emphasize!
People get results on your products or they wouldn’t buy the products! Our company is made up primarily of product users who are not working this as a business. We have many people who stop using the products and come back because they couldn’t function as well without them.
