Understanding Motives

Sometimes you may think people don’t understand your motives but that’s not a good assumption.

Never “try” to leave people with the wrong impression because it’s counterproductive.  Here’s an old Berkshire Hathaway report story that proves that point:

“A 76-year-old persuaded a dazzling beauty of 25 to marry him.  ‘How did you ever get her to accept?’ asked his envious contemporaries.  The comeback: ‘I told her I was 86.’”

Network Marketing people, or other sales people, may tell you that their business doesn’t consist of selling or promoting or that it’s not about the money.  In our business we will let you know up front that we are in the business for money and that we promote and sell the products!  Otherwise, we would just buy the products for our personal use and do something else for money.

Some people are real pros at blowing smoke in your face and someday (probably soon) you will begin to understand their real motives if you don’t immediately.
