Turning Competition into Cooperation

I win and you lose?

Some people see everything as a game to win and their winning means you have to lose.  It doesn’t have to be that way.

People and companies are categorized as serious competition, potential threats, and the invisible.  And so, the serious competition makes a move and their competitor makes a counter move.  In Network Marketing, there may be a war of web sites,  webinars, events, etc.  Unfortunately, you are not on the team (perhaps classified in the invisible category).  Be OK with that and stop watching their moves….  Google didn’t go down that road with Netscape, Yahoo!, AOL, etc. (Just in case you don’t remember the unquestioned leaders).  Google didn’t play their games and focused on the what, where, why, when, and how people search the Internet and the results they want.

Business is not a game of chess so why are we working to block the next move on an imaginary board? What is your goal?

We can’t address the competitive aspect of their direction because they won’t listen and become a win/win team player.  Take your focus off of these type of players because they aren’t the issue.  Network Marketing is a business and you are in it to win.  You win by working on yourself just like a tennis pro works on his swing.  Stop looking at the narrow field of current leaders and broaden your vision and horizons.  We speak from experience:  “These players won’t even be around in the long run or even be on the playing field.”

Some business people wait for the competition to make their next move as if they were playing chess.  Business is not a game of chess.

Take the long view!
