Why do people attribute success or failure to someone else?
Marriage is a give and take union but often a battle when it comes to doing Network Marketing. While there are many men doing Network Marketing the majority of the business is accomplished by women. There are various reasons for tension in the business (including male culture and dominance issues). For example, some men can’t even handle the fact that their spouse makes more income than they do.
We are all responsible for our own success in the business or life in general. If a mental picture of someone else (spouse, father, mother, close relative or friend) holds us back from success we have to deal with it quickly.
Take the focus off of that other person and put it on the things that create your success. Stop building a mental picture of them holding you back. You may find it necessary to tell someone to get out of your way and if you can’t–deal with the reasons why.
Acting on our success often brings out issues in a relationship that should have been dealt with long ago. And so, your desire for success is not the real issue because there is latent underlying issues and problems. Your action is bringing these issues to the surface.
Learn to deal with people and issues and don’t let others dictate your success or failure because it’s your choice. You can either win or use others as a crutch for losing.
“You can speak to people’s hearts, or you can speak to people’s minds. But there are a lot more hearts out there than minds.” Walt Disney
