When are you going to realize that you don’t live in the same Universe as everyone else?
Studies have shown that if a husband and wife were asked to describe their Universe (what they did last week) their stories would match no better than random chance. If that is true of husbands and wives how is it with other people you know?
This is why we have courts of law and the concept of “innocent until proven guilty.” What you think you know is not necessarily reality.
What bothers educated people is not so much the difference between them and the uneducated but the fact that someone not willing to take the time to study and learn thinks they “Know.” On the other hand, what bothers us about the educated is they think they “Know” because they’ve studied and learned something else. They haven’t bothered to look into the parallel universe that someone else is living in or even take a look at evidence.
The presumption of innocence has been flipped in the media today and people are convicted in the court of public opinion. In fact, this is so out of hand that those that know better won’t go against public opinion.
Don’t be guilty of the sin of presumption.
“Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.” Psalms 19:13
