How would you go about climbing Mount Everest?
In my opinion, having a strong reason, purpose, and desire to climb Mount Everest would be necessary. Personally, I would never climb Everest because I don’t have a strong desire to do so for many reasons. People often express a desire for something that they don’t really want badly enough. Something that would be nice to do some day will never be achieved.
Next, I would try to find someone who succeeded at climbing Everest and ask them how to go about it. Ask someone to help you! Books are OK but even books written by experienced people leave out too many details for the beginner. Or, they don’t even approach the subject in a way that a beginner can understand (I guess you had to be there). Have you ever picked up a book thinking this will help me learn XYZ only to find out that the book is a shallow nothing? Perhaps it was written for someone that already understands. Or, the author is writing just another book to enhance their own reputation. You read the whole book and didn’t get one thing of substance out of it. Primarily because you don’t already have the experience. Perhaps it would be easier to gain experience than read the book? Just Do It!
Remember: Some of the most experienced wouldn’t have a clue when it comes to “telling you” how to do it! If you think that’s not true why don’t statistics show more success?
You and your guide would break down the climb.
Obviously this isn’t going to be an easy climb accomplished in a day. You will have to know what tools and gear to take and how much time it will take to get to each base camp. You will have to plan for alternatives, emergencies, and uncontrollable events such as weather. More than likely you will have to “write down” each step of the way.
Note: Leaving it up to your guide doesn’t teach you how to plan goals and climb mountains. Also, what if your guide dies on the way or decides to leave you on the side of the mountain? This is particularly true in Network Marketing. And so, “you won” a bonus because your guide knows how to do the business–not good.
How would you go about climbing a mountain that no one else has ever climbed?
You will have climbed many mountains and gained significant experience. Personally, I “wouldn’t” start with Everest but I would “Begin ASAP.”
