Bridget Brennan explains in her book, Why She Buys, about the purchasing power of women. Many realize that women either greatly influence buying decisions and/or make the majority of purchases.
Because many women are relational they excel in Network Marketing. Network Marketing provides opportunities particularly for Divorced Women.
“Employment. There’s also a tremendous opportunity to employ the legions of women who’ve retained primary custody of their children but can’t afford full-time child care. Call-center staffing companies and direct-selling firms such as Jafra, Arbonne, and Avon are great examples of companies that have capitalized on this labor force for enabling women to work from home. The airline Jet Blue, for example, has about 700 at-home reservation agents in Salt Lake City.”
When we consider half of marriages end in divorce we understand that parents and kids need two of everything. We also understand that employment has to be tailored around the realities of our society.
In that regard, there is a huge understanding gap between men (running businesses) and the women who actually do the purchasing. Many businessmen don’t understand how large the understanding gap between them and women. For example, businesses often do not accommodate women with children–huge mistake. This is also true of the party plans where: “Kids are not welcome!” This is a huge niche market.
We can incorporate kids into our market or we can drive them away. After all, they are the future (monkey see monkey do).
This makes me think of an older white male executive nicknamed Dr. No by the Distributors. However, it could be that the only authority he has is to say no.
When it comes to marketing to women many executives (including women who should be in male bodies) should pretend they are marketing to a foreign country. Why? Because that’s about how much they know about it.
“If I’d asked my customers what they wanted, they would have said a faster horse.” Henry Ford
Network Marketing is a D0-As-You-Go business. Don’t forget the residual income and the fact that you get paid on the efforts of other people in “your” organization.
“Men talk to communicate information. Women talk to connect.”
