Columbus

Columbus was a man of great faith.

How would I know I didn’t personally know Columbus?  I know he was a man of great faith because he put his faith into action.  At a time when many thought the earth was flat, and Columbus would sail off the end of the earth, he sailed on.

When many thought they should turn back Columbus sailed on.  It didn’t matter that his goal of sailing to the Indies would meet a substantial road block (America) he did reach a great goal.

When many thought they were sailing to their death Columbus sailed on.

Columbus had to modify his plans to fit reality. In faith he thought he would reach the Indies but in reality he arrived at a much greater destination.

Though faith Columbus found a New World.

“But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?”  James 2:20
