San Diego Trip

Posted by bodybydesign on December 25, 2007

You are a Champion!

This Year we won the Christmas trip to San Diego and last year it was New York. Christmas is fun on the East or West coast when it’s first class and all expenses paid.

Here is a picture of the boat we got to sail looking back towards the 1888 Luxury Hotel del Coronado where we stayed on the trip.

Take a Closer Look!

Posted by bodybydesign on December 21, 2007

You are a Champion!

Take a closer look when you walk down the street or drive your car and observe what could be your best market.

I watch the aging of America and notice the gray hair on men and women (as well as the fitness of the individual). Take a mental count and notice that it doesn’t look like it did twenty years ago. Why? Because of demographics and the Baby Boomer generation growing old.

Sure, there is still a market for the twenty or thirty something but it’s not a growing market. While the Baby Boomer may not be your market niche you may be asking why not since it’s the fastest growing life stage market. Believe me, 1/3 of the population will have it’s say and impact over the next twenty years!

The next time you are out take a closer look.

Cubic Zirconia Pin Level

Posted by bodybydesign on December 19, 2007

You are a Champion!

If there was a Cubic Zirconia (fake Diamond) Pin Level some would qualify because they can’t consistently hit the Pin Level they achieved. Certainly there is nothing wrong with a goal but we would also like to consistently hit the pay level we have been recognized for achieving. It may be glamorous to be a Cubic Zirconia but wouldn’t you rather be just a real Diamond?

Evidently there are various ways to create volume to win pin levels, trips, etc. in the short-run. Some people must have it down to a science because you see unbelievable volume generated near the end of a contest. Wow, where did that person come from and how did they generate their volume? However, the long-run goal should be Residual Income to replace the income Social Security won’t provide.

Corporate management in some companies begrudge the building of residual income. They make snide comments about social security and pension plans (this is a work program). However, those people aren’t willing to run the roads as a Distributor and pay the dues themselves (that’s why they are in Corp. America). Try to avoid companies that modify their Compensation Plan to eliminate residual income because that is what attracts Distributors to the business.

Keep you eyes and ears open to remarks and actions that contradict residual income objectives. High paid Distributors are role models and examples–serious attractions to the business. However, after the honeymoon, there has to be realism for the little guy too. Large companies are built quickly on the word-of-mouth philosophy and companies that contradict favorable word-of-mouth will fail (especially in an industry with no entry barriers). After all, the Network Marketing business model is about people and people will notice (talk) when the pay is good or bad for the average Distributor.

When it comes to this subject: “It is about you.” Why should you pay the dues for someone who hasn’t paid their dues?  Any Distributor that has achieved a certain level has normally paid their dues too (don’t knock your upline because they brought you to the table). The whole objective for leaving Corp. American relates to your desire to build something for yourself instead of someone else and it’s called residual income!

Build your house on solid rock and not on shifting sand.

Politics

Posted by bodybydesign on December 12, 2007

You are a champion!

Your Network Marketing Business and Politics may not work too well together.

The latest Gallup Poll shows that 22% of Americans approve of Congress. There is a time and place to step on toes politically and religiously but you might want to reconsider bringing these subjects up in your business (if you like to eat).

Why? A lot of people view politics as portrayed in the classic saga of power and corruption in the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Robert Penn Warren All the King’s Men about the fictionalized account of Governor Huey Long. Veteran political advisor James Carville has described this novel as one of the best guides to understanding modern American politics.

For the amateur, politics may not be the best attraction to business!

Meeting the Real Need

Posted by bodybydesign on December 3, 2007

You are a Champion!

Spencer Johnson, M.D. In his book YES or NO The Guide to Better Decisions said this about Meeting the Real Need:

“Pursuing only the real need in the very beginning gets me better results in the end.

This means both seeing a vision of needed results in such real detail that I sense myself already achieving them, & then doing only what meets the real need.

Wants are wishes. Needs are necessities.
Needs are essential for success and fulfillment. To see what I merely want, I ask, ‘What do I want to do now?’ To see what is really needed, I ask ‘What would I like to have done?’

What do I really need from this decision? For me and for others to feel successful & fulfilled? Is my vision clearly focused on the needed results? Am I saying ‘Yes’ to only what meets the real need, and ‘No’ to every thing else?

Am I meeting the real need?

I use my head by asking myself a practical question:

Am I Meeting the Real Need, Informing My self of Options, and Thinking it Through?”

Along the same thoughts, I ask myself before speaking, writing an email, etc. “What is my objective in saying this to the person addressed?” Is it to stroke my ego and show them how smart I am? Is it to insult them and put them in their place? Can I see by watching their body language that this is boring them, making them angry, or they don’t want to talk? Walk away or change the subject. Change the subject to them because everyone loves to talk about self and some people are so self absorbed it’s really no use in talking about anything else.

If we don’t have a really good answer to why we are saying or doing something then: “Don’t Do It!” Silence speaks volumes!
